Tent Accessory
101
Our truck tent is unique because we offer one optional accessory item. It's only one item, but we are very confident it has at least 101 uses. However at this time we can only think of five. NOTICE: Accessory 101 includes one 8'x11' piece of sturdy tent material, (seam sealed and taped) with reinforced grommets in each corner, two guide lines, and six alligator type clips. We DO NOT include any poles or stakes. Our intent here is not to stifle your creativity. You can tie to trees, use rocks, carve a stick pole what ever. You can even go to the hardware and buy more clips, duct tape what ever and use Accessory 101 for something really cool. Here are our suggested uses. Remember you can buy more than one Accessory 101 if you want to try these all at the same time. 1. Tent floor: Truck tents are easier to set up without a floor sewn in. You don't have to unload your gear from the bed. Simply set up the tent over your gear. (With other truck tents you have to empty your truck before you can set up the tent). You're going to track in dirt and stuff. Any truck bed is easier to clean out than any sewn in tent floor. However if you have a cruddy truck bed, and you want to keep your fancy sleeping bags and air mattress nice, or your girlfriend says "gross I'm not sleeping in that" (your truck bed, not our tent) use Accessory 101 as a tent floor. Use the included clips to hold the floor to the sides of the bed. Pictures below: left with tent floor, right without. The FDA recommends our Accessory 101 as a tent floor if you've been hauling farm animals in your truck.
(Pictured above right electric lantern. Gas not recommended) 2. Awning: Using the clips attach Accessory 101 to the back of your tent and set up a very large awning to protect you from the sun. Use guide lines to tie to a tree, make or bring your own poles. Shade is nice, very nice.
3. Ground mat: Any camper knows how easy it is to track dirt, leaves and junk into your tent. Use Accessory 101 as a ground mat, shake it out when you're done. Picture below shows folded Accessory 101.
4. Annex tent: Need to keep the dogs out of the rain? Maybe you have a buddy you're not comfortable inviting inside your tent (Chile for dinner Fred)? Set up the Annex tent next to Camp-Right tent. Clip it on the sides and stake it down. Great for extra shade on those hot, hot days.
5. Gear Tarp: Well, you're all dry and snug inside the tent. Where's your gear go when it's raining? Wrap it up with Accessory 101. (with our competitor's tents they don't tell you when it's raining you need a motel room....for your gear). The stupid picture below is actually cousin Jimmy pretending to be camping gear covered up with Accessory 101.
O.K. our brains are stretched thin. If you can come up with any more uses for Accessory 101 (relevant to truck camping) send us an email, or a picture attached to an email and maybe we'll post it. Don't waste our time with dumb stuff please. |
